PROGRESS?

[Thank you "LTL" for today's post. To all readers - please comment on any topic, your comment might be tomorrow's post - KollelVeib]

The proposed parking gararge on 4th St - I am dead set against it. I think it is one person's scheme to make a lot of money for himself, and it will generate alot more traffic and ruin to look of the town. It won't help to have more parking on 4th St. when I shop on 1st St.

So far I have always found parking reasonably close to where I am shopping, and I think the town has developed enough. I would like to see a halt to all this "progress".

THE STREETS ARE UN-TZNIUSDIG

[Thank you "yeshivaguy" for today's post. To all readers - please comment on any topic, your comment might be tomorrow's post - KollelVeib]

This out-to-lunch letter appeared in "the Coffee Room" section of the latest Lakewood Voice:

Dear Lakewood Voice:

I would like to comment on something that has been bothering me for a long time. Why is it that in this ihr hatorah, yidden are naming streets after ladies?

If there is a shortage of names, how about naming the streets after American presidents, like in New Square? This would serve the additional purpose of showing some hakoras hatov to the United States of America. I hope this will be a wake-up call to the builders or whoever else makes these decisions.

Thank you,
